Spennymoor star wings his way to West

Spennymoor midfielder Adam Mitchell has agreed to join the Club in time for tomorrow’s season opener.

The winger joins on a one month loan from the National League North side having been transfer listed despite featuring in their pre-season campaign.

The 23 year old joined Spennymoor from Darlington last October and featured 26 times, scoring 2 goals, to help them achieve promotion.

Adam begun his career at Sunderland, making his Premier League debut in a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in 2013. After moving to Darlington, he spent 2 and half seasons with the Quakers making 109 appearances (14 goals).

The Mitchell name should be familiar to West fans as Adam’s brother, David, appeared for West last season.

Welcome to the Club Adam!
