Midfielder Arran Wearmouth has put pen to paper to sign on loan from Darlington.
The Quakers star will be looking to gain match sharpness after a stop start career with the National League North side.
He joined Darlington from Blyth in the summer of 2016 but had suffered a knee injury at the end of the previous season, ruling him out for much of the 16/17 campaign. After a cruciate operation and frustrating wait on the treatment table, he returned to fitness at the end of the season, making 3 substitute appearances.
The 25 year old who can also play up front, had started his career at Middlesbrough before joining Bishop Auckland in 2010. After impressing with the Two Blues, he moved up to Blyth Spartans. Arran was part of the team that starred in the 14/15 FA Cup run where they reached the 3rd Round before valiantly bowing out to Championship side Birmingham.
The 6″4′ star then helped Blyth to runners up spot in the NPL Premier Division and, after many eye catching performances, was linked with Darlington for some time before making the move.
We look forward to helping Arran in his return to regular competitive football and welcome him to the Club.
