Lewis Dodds joins Auckland

Lewis Dodds has completed a move to West Auckland from Ebac Northern League side Shildon and is available for this Saturday’s game against Consett.

Lewis had his contact with Shildon cancelled by mutual consent.

Dodds, who once played in the same England Youth Team as Wayne Rooney joined Spennymoor in August 2009 after winning league titles with Durham City.

Lewis has 6 Northern League title medals during his career, 4 with Spennymoor and 1 apiece with Durham City and Shildon.

Among his vast collection of winning medals and trophies is a FA Vase medal he won while with Spennymoor in 2013 when they beat Kent league team Tunbridge Wells 2-1 at Wembley.

Lewis had 7 seasons with Spennymoor and played over 250 games, he was named “Player of the Year” in the 2012/13 season.

He joined Shildon after signing from Spennymoor in September 2015 he went on to make 122 Appearances scoring 8 goals and winning his latest Northern League title medal in the 2015/16 season.
