Fisher’s five star performance.

Billingham Synthonia 0-6 West Auckland

Prolific scorer Nathan Fisher hit five goals in a convincing 6-0 away victory at bottom team Billingham Synthonia.

From the kick off West took the game to Syners, and it was barely 2 minutes old when Auckland got their first corner, Bell swung it in, the keeper punched it to Mitchell on the 18yd line, whose goal bound shot was well blocked.

A minute later Bell played a delightful ball through to Fisher but he was a fraction off side.

A lovely weighed pass on 20 minutes by Cobain to Fisher splits the defence, and he wrong foots the keeper and opens the scoring.

Midway through the first half Morris finds Fisher through on goal with just the keeper to stop him, just as he tried to wrong foot him the ball took a wicket bobble and went behind for a goal kick.

A rare counter attack from the hosts saw Forster Garton forced wide and his shot was safely gathered up by the West stopper Bland.

The lead was doubled when Fisher and Mitchell linked up on the halfway line, after a quick one/two, Fisher drove into the box and slots the ball past the advancing keeper for a 0-2 halftime score line.

Despite a month off due to postponement, West were showing no rustiness and Fisher’s 6th hat trick of the season came in the 60th minute. A fine Lewis Dodds shot was pushed out for a corner, the resulting corner was swung in to the back post where Fisher somehow found the net through the narrowest of gaps.

Fisher had the ball again in the net on 64 minutes after a delightful chip from Bell found the head of Fisher in the box, but the Lino was quick to flag for offside.

West brought on Purewal, Doninger and debutant Fortune for Colquhoum, Mckeown and Wearmouth.

Fisher then took his match tally to 5 with a quick fire double in the 74th and 76th minutes with the aid of assists from substitute Mark Doninger, firstly going past the keepers left side followed by goal number 5 going to the keepers right.

Debutant John Fortune had a great chance to get his name on the scoresheet when he danced his way through the defence and unleashed a fierce shot which went wide of the goal.

The resounding 0-6 win was completed in the last minute when Amar Purewal set up Doninger who fired in his first goal for the Club from close range.
