West made it “magnificent seven” as they rounded off the pre-season campaign with 7 wins out of 7 and there 6th clean sheet.
In form striker Amar Purewal was on hand with a brace to take his pre-season tally to 5 in 7 games.

This was also there final pre-season game and decided to make it a “Fun day”. Plenty of entertainment including a live DJ, Barbecue, beat the goalie competition, with free entry and program.
The match got away on time and it was Auckland who had the first chance, a good run down the left hand side saw Anthony Bell swing in a beauty cross but no one could get on the end of it.
Cheadle’s first chance came when they were awarded a free kick midway in the West half, it was floated in but went straight out for a goal kick.
Mckeown got his eye on goal as he received a ball from Wearmouth just outside the box, a curling shot just went wide of the upright.
Midway through the first half, neat interplay from Auckland in the area sees shot cleared off line easily.
The breakthrough came on 28 minutes when Trialist 1 sent a shot goal bound, the home keeper Danny Whiting pulled off a excellent diving save only to see the ball go straight to Purewal to head home.
West seam to control the match with slick interplay and ball retention and saw the match to half time with the slender of margins.
Shortly after the restart Rick Wyatt twists and turns in the box but see’s his effort easily saved by Bland.
Substitute keeper for Cheadle Town Ryan Allcock came out quickly to smother another Bell effort.
A minute later West should have doubled the score line when Arran Wearmouth received the ball six yards from goal and somehow put it wide.
Another good run by Bell down the left hand side saw a perfect cross for Purewal to head home only to see the ball bounce of the crossbar.
Next up was half time sub Doninger to have a go when Mitchell found him on the penalty spot, he twists and turns but fires wide.
Bland had quick reactions when a ball in from Christopher was sent goal bound by makeshift centre back Steven Snaith, probably the only save he has had to make.
The game was finally put to bed two minutes from the end when Arran Wearmouth found Purewal lurking in the area and he calmly rolls the ball past the keeper.
