Comings and Goings.

As I write we have two new players for the 2019/20 season with four players leaving from last season.

Incoming.

Marc Ellison

Marc Ellison is know by manager Gary Forrest as he signed him when at Shildon so had no hesitation in bringing him to West where he will join ex-team mates Lewis Dodds, Anthony Bell, Amar Purewal and Danny Parker.

Marc, aged 28, a Hartlepool lad was signed for Sunderland at the young age of 8. From there he went onto Middlesbrough before signing for Hartlepool United full time. From Hartlepool he had a spell playing in Sweden until 2011 when he returned to Shildon, Darlington, Spennymoor, Crook and finally back to Shildon in 2014.

When he’s not on the pitch he can be found playing and watching football with his son Zachary, and spending his money on trainers!

Mark Bell.

A local lad who was brought up in West and lives just a couple miles away in Bishop.

This will be the third spell at West for goalkeeper Mark Bell with a Wembley appearance in the 2012 FA Vase Final.

He had two seasons with Blyth Spartans between 2008 and 2010 when he played in the Conference North, and was also part of the Blyth team that reached the third round of the FA Cup in 2009 when they lost to Blackburn Rovers.

After he signed for Darlington in November 2012, he became a regular and never finished on the losing side in the rest of the Northern League season.

He was also a regular in the 2013-14 season when Quakers lost in the NPL First Division play off semi final.

He joined Bishop Auckland in the summer of 2015, and then had a brief spell at Spennymoor in the EvoStik First Division North.

Outgoing.

Shane Bland.

Shane has joined Whitby Town for his second spell there after spending two years away. He joined Spennymoor Town and then spent 18 months at West.

Steven Snaith.

After one season at West Steven has joined Guisborough Town ahead of his planned tour of Australia in the winter.

Tom Portas.

Tom has joined his hometown club Stockton Town after completing a season at The Wanted Stadium.

Denver Morris.

One of Gary’s first signing’s for West when he took over in 2017. Denver has joined local rivals Bishop Auckland where he will line up along side Arran Wearmouth who joined them at the back end of last season.

We would like to welcome both Marc Ellison and Mark Bell to West Auckland and thank Shane, Steven, Tom and Denver for there efforts during our Cup Winning Season.
