How we won the World Cup!

Juventus who?

Who would have thought it? A small town called West Auckland being the best team in the World! That's what amazingly happened when West Auckland became winners of the very first World Cup.

They went on to win it a second time and the story doesn't end there. A book has been written, a TV show made, (now available on video or DVD) and news paper headlines written regarding the theft of the Sir Thomas Lipton trophy.

West Auckland are celebrating the centenary of their first success in 2009 and once again travelled to Italy to take on Juventus.

On the links below we detail the stunning and colourful history behind the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy and West Auckland Town FC.
